One unifying timber roof encompasses all the galleries like the sky and clouds that covers our environment and completes the biosphere. Each of the natural environment galleries are designated as individual pavilions, made from separate building materials and construction methods. The sequential flow through the museum is simple. Visitors from the public area enter the museum by rising up the central escalator to the vestibule and move on to begin the experience from the top of the Mountain Gallery. From here, all visitors experience the gradual descent through each of the galleries.

木の架構が連なり1つの大きな屋根となって、まるで空と雲のように全てのギャラリーを包含する。自然環境ギャラリーは個々のパビリオンとしてそれぞれ一つ一つが異なった建築材料と工法でつくられる。博物館までの流れは連続的でありながらもシンプル。公共エリアから入場した訪問者は、ホールへとつながる中央エスカレーターを上がると最初のギャラリーである、山のギャラリーへと流れていく。そして、そこからは各ギャラリーの見学とともに徐々に降下していく流れとなっている。
