This temporary pavilion was the main event space for the popular biennale situated within the large open park at the West Kowloon Cultural District. The 18 meter long vault structure spanned 30 meters as a paper tube truss arch with steel joints. 336 mm diameter paper tubes were used in the main arch and 243mm diameter paper tubes for struts while steel rods were used to brace the truss. The foundations were 4 standard size 20 feet long shipping containers filled with sand and the roof covering material was translucent corrugated polycarbonate panels. The arch faced out towards Victoria Harbour to frame the extraordinary skyline of Hong Kong. 仮設パビリオンは、香港、西九龍文化地区の公園内で開催されていたビエンナーレのメインイベント会場に建てられた。 スチールのジョイントと紙管トラスアーチで構成された18m長のボールト構造は、全長30mにおよぶ。メインアーチには直径336mmの紙管を、支柱には直径243ｍｍの紙管を、そしてスチール棒はトラスの留め具に使った。基礎には4つの長さ20フィートの砂を詰めた海上輸送コンテナを利用し、屋根は半透明の波形ポリカーボネートパネルを使用した。 |
