After designing the ARTEK pavilion for the Milanfurniture fair 2007 using the new product made of recycled plastic and paper by UPM Finland, 10 Unit System was developed with the same material.

When designing the paper tube structures, using recycled paper, a single standard element is repeated across a series of shapes, resulting in multiple solutions. The design of the fundamental shapes informs the stability and durability of the products, therefore their dependence is on the structural design and not on the strength of the materials themselves, which in the case of the paper tubes can be quite week.

10 Unit Systems made of a composite of recycled plastic and paper was designed with the same principle as the Paper Tube Structures. The single standard “L”profile element is repeated to create chair, table and various other projects.

ミラノ家具フェア2007のARTEKパビリオンで発表した新製品（再生プラスチックと紙）と同じもので、10ユニット・システムとして開発された。10ユニットシステムは紙管と同じ構造と原理で設計された。単一のL型ユニットを繰り返し使いうことで、椅子やテーブルなど様々なものを構成するシステムである。
