UAEの仮設美術館

The main issue for this park (Kalifa Park) was the dispersal of the existing facilities and open spaces, while their access through the excessive heat does not attribute in their interest. Rather than spotting new facilities scattered within the park, we proposed to gather and locate a facility along the main central axis providing the function of systematically connecting the existing open spaces and facilities. The new facility will be comprised of shaded colonnades, greenery, water and variations of large and small courts, and those spaces will be adjacent to airconditioned spaces so they will be comfortable for pleasant strolls.

この計画における最大の問題は、広大な公園（カリファパーク）に点在する小広場や施設を猛暑の中を歩いてアプローチしないとならないうえ、それほどの魅力に欠ける点である。我々は新たな施設を公園内に点在させるのではなく、中心軸上にまとめて配置し、点在する既存の小広場や施設を有機的に繋げる機能を持たせることとした。新しい施設には、日陰の回廊、緑と水を配された大小の中庭があり、それらは空調化された部屋に面しているので、快適で楽しい回遊空間となっている。
