This temporary building using paper tubes was a voluntary proposal for a memorial at the World Trade Center site after the tragic affairs of 9/11. The paper tubes used in the structure of Kobe‘s Paper Church would have been sent to New York towards this new cause.

世界貿易センターの追悼施設として、仮設の紙の建築をわれわれからニューヨーク市へと提案した。1995年の阪神大震災の直後に献身的な寄付やボランティアによって完成した「紙の教会」に使用されていた紙管をこの追悼施設に贈る考えであった。
